ITIL® Intermediate - Service Strategy

ITIL® Intermediate Service Strategy focuses on the importance of the strategic aspect of services within the IT service lifecycle.

ITIL® Intermediate Service Strategy (SS) is one of five ITIL® Service Lifecycle modules and provides you with guidance that enables you to design, develop, and implement service provider strategy that aligns to the organisational strategy.

It focuses on the importance of the strategic aspect of services within the IT service lifecycle and it provides the specific knowledge and techniques to help you demonstrate that you understand the risks and success factors, whilst having the skills to develop and progress strategy within an organisation or programme.

The Service Strategy certification can only be taken following an accredited training course.

Who is SS for:

ITIL® Intermediate Service Strategy is suitable for professionals in the areas of IT Management, IT Finance Management, Supplier Relationship Management. It is also valuable for individuals who need to understand the relationship between the IT and general aspects of their work and to appreciate how the ITIL best practice framework can help them work more efficiently.

 

NOTE: There is an official discontinuation date announced for the ITIL Intermediate - Service Strategy module in English as of 1 January 2022. After that date, candidates with similar interests might want to consider taking the ITIL 4 Strategist Direct Plan and Improve or the ITIL 4 Specialist: High-Velocity IT modules.
 

Starting from 1 February 2022, exam vouchers for AXELOS Certifications, including ITIL® Intermediate - Service Strategy, will incorporate the corresponding Digital Core Guidance (eBook).  The Core Guidance eBook acts as a valuable source for candidates in their day-to-day work, long after their exam has finished. It becomes available in the candidate’s PeopleCert account, upon exam purchase and the candidate is able to take advantage of several features available like annotation, highlighting, etc.
