Second Cycle of PeopleCert Scholarship Programme

Supporting Youths from Istanbul, Imvros and Tenedos

For the second consecutive year, PeopleCert implemented the Scholarship Programme "Honoring Our Teachers from Constantinople”, awarding three Scholarships and three Honorary Distinctions to postgraduate students and doctoral candidates.

This year's Scholarship Awards ceremony took place in an emotionally charged atmosphere at the Patriarchal Great School of the Nation in Phanar, on Friday, May 17, 2024. The ceremony was graced by the presence of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, attended by members of the Holy Synod, numerous academics, ambassadors, and other prominent personalities, as well as last year's award-winning scholars.

Established in honor of the Patriarch, the special award "Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew", was presented by him to three publishers from Diaspora, Michalis Vassiliadis, Pepi Tsoukatou, and Andreas Robopoulos for their significant and continuous contribution to the enhancement of the Hellenic identity.

The scholarships were offered in memory of the distinguished professors of Diaspora, Vasilis Kasapidis, Dimitris Pantelaras, and Aristi Kimiazis, who were exemplary in their consistency and pedagogical dedication.
